The workshop will provide an introduction into metabolite identification. It will give a overview of identification methods and programs and introduce the CASMI contest.

There will be a practical component, where participants will learn through a hands-on tutorial to carry out metabolite identification using different level of experimental data to aid in the identification process. The hands on tutorial will be carried out using the publicly available software MetFrag.

This workshop is aimed at researchers who are new to the field of metabolomics and assumes basic mass spectrometry knowledge. Computers are available, own laptops are possible and can connect the internet with eduroam.
